Where To Find Generation 2 Region Exclusive Pokemon Heracross And Corsola

Pokemon Go released the generation 2 Pokemon, giving away more than 80 new Pokemon that can be caught in the wild. However, it looks like some Pokemon Go player may not be able to complete the updated Pokedex. This is because of a simple reason, these new Pokemon includes 2 region exclusives.

Where To Find Johto Region Exclusive Pokemon

Compared to the generation 1 region exclusive Pokemon – Kangaskhan, Tauros, Mr. Mime, and Farfetch’d that can be caught in certain areas, this two Johto region exclusive Pokemon is a bit complicated to hunt down.

One of Ash’s Bug/Fighting Pokemon Heracross and the pink coral-like Pokemon Corsola can only be found in certain areas of the world. No, it does not depend on a region like Australia, North America, Europe, and South East Asia. Instead, its location depends on the altitude of the world.

Heracross spawn location

Based on the latest research, Heracross spawns below the red line which is dubbed as the “Taurus line”. This is the line between North and South America. However, it does not mean that you won’t be able to catch Heracross if you’re above the line. Some areas like Florida and the lower part of Texas may still be able to catch one.

Corsola spawn location

Likewise, Corsola also has the same sightings characteristic with Heracross. Based on the latest Corsola poll sightings and reports, it looks like this Pokemon only appears on tropical region or equator. The estimation of its spawn location is between the latitudes of 31N and 26S. Basically, Corsola can be caught in countries within this line like the Philippines and the Canary Islands.

Unfortunately, Corsola and Heracross, as well as the other generation 1 region exclusive Pokemon, cannot be hatched from an egg. This only means, if you’re eager to complete the Pokedex, what you need to do is to travel and get out of your comfort zone.
