The Watchtower view at Henry’s Island was worth the early start

I am not usually an early riser when on vacation. I enjoy being able to spend some extra time in bed, way past sunrise. However, when I was in Bakkhali, many locals encouraged us to visit the watchtower of Henry’s Island early in the morning. They said the view was different in the morning and well worth the trek.

I decided to heed their advice, and am so glad that I did. The serenity of the morning along with the spectacular view made it all worthwhile. In fact, it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip.

I actually had plenty of time to spare after returning from my visit to the watchtower before preparing myself for the day ahead. This meant that I could enjoy the day at a relaxed pace. It all really added up to a most enjoyable and relaxing experience.

Bakkhali and Henry’s Island turned out to be much more than I expected

The walk along the trail after touring the watchtower was enjoyable, and I found myself taking my time instead of hurrying to return. The stillness of nature was so very therapeutic. I realised that it was truly the highlight of my day, and it made me wish that I could always spend time in such places.

An early morning Bakkhali visit allowed me to make the most of my day

Although I usually start the day with sightseeing after breakfast, the morning visit to the watchtower was one of the best decisions I made during my trip to Bakkhali. As I finished exploring the place, I still had a considerable amount of time to spare for the rest of the day. Moreover, I was able to enjoy a fantastic day ahead as the trip offered me a calm morning. I was able to enjoy one of the most incredible moments of my trip before the hustle and bustle of the place began.

The morning stillness, combined with a spectacular view, made the early wake-up call one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. Sometimes, the most exciting events occur when we decide to step out of our comfort zone and test new grounds, even if it is early in the morning.
